The
International Headquarters encompasses a system
of twelve departments, created to oversee the worldwide
network of ACM ministries. Leaders from ACMs around
the world serve as members in each department.
The International Headquarters provides the structure
through which ongoing missions are supported and
united, and guides the development and growth
of ACM missions on the foundation of the original
vision of its founders.
1. Department of
General Affairs- The department of the
General Affairs is the overseeing department of
Apostolos Campus Ministry. The purpose of the
department of General Affiars is to administer
over all departments, organize and develop new
systems, and lend direction and support to all
areas of ACM. This department schedules special
events or meetings during which representatives
gather to discuss the activities and progress
of ACM internal structural development while factoring
in the needs of global ministers. Networking with
Christian leaders and organizations is also a
primary focus of this department. The Department
of General Affairs also has the responsibility
to set up special committees when deemed necessary.
2. Secretariat-
The Secretariat takes charge of daily operations
that keep ACM running smoothly. From administering
policy to record-keeping to facilitating activities,
the Secretariat undertakes to connect members,
employees, and visitors with the resources they
are seeking. Secretariat workers keep notes and
records of all online and offline conferences,
archive past records, maintain current updates
on all contact and member information for international
branches, and post announcements from each department.
The Secretariat is also responsible for interpreting
and translating documents that are constantly
flowing between chapters and offices around the
world.
3. Missions Department-
Driving ACM forward is our desire to reach students
from all nations around the world. The Missions
Department is where all other departments can
see the fruit of their work. As Jesus said in
the parable of the lost sheep, ACM Missions truly
values each student preciously and seeks all over
the globe to find one more soul thirsty for the
living water that only Jesus can provide. The
missions departments regularly challenges the
other departments as it strives to meet its ever-expanding
demands. At continental, regional, and local levels,
the Missions Department drafts specific mission
plans, records standards and goals set by various
chapters and regions, and monitors missionary
activities. Other responsibilities of the Missions
Department are: to research the culture and society
of countries and campuses and to develop mission
guides; to direct pioneering activities and guide
missionaries in VISA application procedures.
4. Education Department-
The Education Department is one of the most important
departments of ACM. It is responsible for guiding
the leaders and the students and bringing the
ACM statement of faith into practice. In order
to do so, the Eduction Department is permanently
seeking to improve its operating system. The Director
of Education will hold regular conferences with
other members of the education council to ensure
that the mission tools and the word is always
delivered in an organized manner. The Education
Department is also in charge of developing lecture
guides and other online and offline publications.
5. Finance Department-
For Apostolos Campus Ministry to function well
in the short and long term, a strong financial
team has been set up. The Finance Department handles
day-to-day financial operations, and, more importantly,
creates annual budgets for the Headquarters in
America and in all the other countries. It is
in charge of gathering always new methods of funding
and developing current forms of fundraising. The
Financial Director is always in contact with other
ministries and companies that can help support
ACM. The Finance Departmentis a core department
to ACM, especially in the support of pioneering
and ongoing missions
6. Reporting Department-
With Christian movements and mega-churches rapidly
pressing to the forefront of the global Christian
community, the Reporting Department wishes to
accurately assess the current Christian situation
on a worldwide scale and provide a context through
which to view the impact of Apostolos Campus Ministry.
To this end, our reports desire to find the most
applicable and appropriate material for directing
the lives of college students toward Jesus. On
a local scale, ACM chapters have a reporting system
through which they can share guidance and tips
to each other and gain strength from one another.
The Reporting Department enables international
and regional websites, oversees and regional committees,
and the establishment a global reporting network
to be possible.
7. IP (Intercessory Prayer)
Department- One of the fastest growing
ministries is that of the trained prayer team,
the members of which avail themselves to pray
for others. Apostle Paul said:
"First of all, then, I urge that supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made
for everyone..." 1 Timothy 2:1
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give
thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will
of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench
the Spirit." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19
As the department of a campus ministry composed
of numerous chapters all over the world, the ACM
IP Department is to collect international goals
and prayer topics, intercede and mediate for each
nation through prayers, share visions and grace
from prayers, and regulate prayer standards internationally.
The vision of the IP Department is to watchfully
pray and stand in the gap of each nation. Not
only does the IP Department pray for the concerns
of the mission, but it also strives to intercede
for the missionaries in our community and in the
work of world mission. The IP Department is the
deparment behind-the-scenes, fighting in the frontlines
of the spiritual battle with prayer weapons.
8. Web Department-
During the last decade, Internet has emerged to
become one of the prime sources of media and communication.
Throughout history, the development of communication
has aided the spread of the Gospel--Gutenberg's
Printing Press and Luther's Reformation are the
clearest examples. With web evangelism, a new
way of reaching out through mass media, we hope
to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ have
people accept Jesus as their personal Savior.
With that goal, our Web Department consistently
researches and actively participates in designing,
maintaining, and advertising websites in order
to maximize the effect of the web ministry. The
commission of the Web Department is to build and
maintain websites, create advanced web designs,
and conduct research on website development.
9. Public Relations Department-
The Public Relations Department acts as the public
face of ACM that presents our dynamic atmosphere
to those who wish to learn more about our community.
Media presentations, press kits, newsletters,
and other tools allow those who wish to learn
more about ACM to understand the many aspects
of what we do. The Public Relations Department
also organizes personal, regional, and national
meetings with Christian leaders and serves as
the liaison in building relationships between
ACM and other Christian organizations. It is the
specific task of the Public Relations Department
to oversee the establishment of the Board of Trustees,
made up of members from the nations where ACM
has chapters.
10. Publishing Department-
The Publishing Department works closely with the
Education Department in order to supply ACM members
with the finest and most spiritually valuable
resources to fulfill all mission needs. Not only
does the Publishing Department work to provide
original materials for education, but it also
directly supports missions by designing and publishing
all printed materials for ACM missions, including:
membership cards, bulletins, offline newsletters,
books, flyers, and business cards. Finally, the
Publishing Department works internally within
ACM to provide administrators with the manuals
and materials that are necessary for standardizing
mission structure and policy.
11. Culture Department- In many
cases, university culture pushes students further
away from God. But ACM promotes the Gospel message
through the performing arts (music, dance, drama),
and leads students toward Christ-centered culture
in student life. Therefore culture is very crucial
in ACM’s ministry as the medium for relaying
the Truth to non-believers, as well as for uniting
God’s people in worship, and utilizing the
talents God has given His people to worshiping
Him and making Him known.
12. Information Technology (IT) Department-
Quick communication and data transfer are necessary
to meet the global demands of ACM ministries.
Precise communication is necessary between ministers
in the field and ACM HQ in order for successful
ministries to be established on an expanding number
of campuses. The IT Department fills ACM needs
for global infrastructure and information transfer.
Another aspect of the IT Department is its research
on possible methods to promote evangelism via
Internet and technologies and organize contents
and information to post electronically to the
public. |
